  1. What i would like A.S.A.P. in Windows 10

In the W8 Previews, the Charms bar would just pop out whenever I got near the top right corner.
It was one of the "features" that made using W8 annoying.
The other main annoyance was the Start Screen.

The first things I changed on the W8.1 Enterprise Preview were:
    • Disable the horrible corner popouts
    • Change from "Show Start Screen" to "Show All Apps"
I find all of those auto-pop out things annoying.
I loathe web pages with those auto-popout menus.

That's one of the features of the charms bar that I disliked the most. I for one just would run into that all of the time and the charms bar would pop out when I didn't need it to.

I'm glad it's gone but I can see that if it were an option I could chose or not there would not be an issue for me at least.

for me the new notification thing in the system tray is just annoying and i wish it wasnt there. they should make a way to disable if users want to. do you agree?

I could live with that as an option.

It's possible MS may give us that choice by the time Win 10 goes final.

For some reason I doubt it but it would be nice. All of this needs to go to the feedback so MS knows what we want and what we don't.

MS also need to start listening to their customers this includes feedback and importantly improvements because thats what seems to be one of the main problems now. If they did this earlier MS wouldn't be focusing so much on the mobile market like they are now (not fully).

I think MS is starting to listen. If MS didn't want to hear from us they probably wouldn't have allowed use to install Win 10 at such a early stage. We also have to remember MS can't include everything we want.

    Agree ,
but you would never know that giving all the things people want and don't want in win10

a lot of posters make reference to Car makers when trying to get that point across , so I will to ,like going to the ford dealer and saying I want that beautiful Black Mustang over there but I want a big friggen Hemi in it ,so call when you get it done and ill be over to get it ,but for now Im sticking with my 1950 Edsel

Think of it as a restaurant that would endeavor to stock, preserve, maintain, prepare and serve every conceivable food known to mankind and then serve it up at a fair cost per plate.
    Ain't gonna happen.

  11. What Microsoft is doing to presenting it's vision,
Most feedback that was impotent came from 8-8.1's dismal sales.

The only feedback cares about is bug reports,
New features... all come from special groups probably of their own making *Tongue

Well they can, but they won't.

They should not add anything individuals ask, but when asked in group, they should.
Or if something asked makes sence they should.

So give me back my Charms Bar.

Use the corners more, give depth to the OS

I disagree, Jeff. Microsoft wouldn't have gone to the trouble to include a place for feedback if they were just going to discount everything we said/asked for.

There is no opportunity to ask for anything as a group. I think what you meant to say is "should not add everything individuals ask". The way feedback works is that we, as individuals, give feedback on what we want, what we don't like, bugs, etc.; Microsoft has some kind of "app" that will take the feedback and sort it into separate categories and at the same time, some kind of tally is given. There are a number more options for MS sorting and once that is done, MS personnel takes over and creates order out of chaos. This is only intended as a "what probably happens with feedback" rather than concrete knowledge.

Only if I have the opportunity to completely disable it! I hate the thing; if I wanted it, I had to fish for it; if I didn't want it, it invariably popped out and got completely in my way. The same way as the silly "notifications" thing pops out on the bottom right corner of my screen when I'm trying to do something else. Leave my corners alone! Unless you let me disable what you've put there!

Bottom line here is to give us choices!
