Windows Command Processor nested under Akamai Netsession Client on Startup

    Hey Andrew,

I believe that Akamai NetSession, since it runs under Windows Command Processor, is a console application. Otherwise, I think it's as useless as a screen door in a submarine, really.

I'd suggest you run Autoruns from Sysinternals and see if you can find the entry that best represents Akamai NetSession Client:
    https://download.sysinternals.com/files/Autorun...

Extract the ZIP file of all contents, then open Autoruns.exe in the newly extracted directory.

Under the Everything tab, see if you can find the Akamai NetSession Client and disable it, or if you wish, remove the entry.

Keep me posted if this doesn't work. Otherwise, good luck, I hope it helps.

What Is Akamai Netsession? Is it Safe to have in my pc?

    NO!

It is not a virus. Akamai Netsession helps you in increasing the download speed fetched from the servers. In fact, there are certain softwares and games which compulsorily need Akamai Netsession client interface
    to proceed the download.

Here's a useful guide on everything you need to know about the Akamai Netsession - https://tricksdrop.com/akamai-netsession-client/

How to uninstall Akamai Netsession client?

    Original Title: Akamai Netsession client

Hi there! How can I deactivate the Akamai netsession client on windows 10? It's easy, from the console, in w7, but I can't find it on w10. I can deactivate at the start up, but I want to stop it completely. It slows my computer so much. Not sure Photoshop
needs it to work anyway. It is stopped on my other machines, and PS works fine! I know I can stop the process in task manager, but I prefer to stop in the console, otherwise I have to do it every time the PC restarts. Not convenient...

I don't want to desinstall right now, because I have other Adobe products to download next days, and it will come back anyway LOL

Thanks to help me to figure it out!!!
