    What is ASHelper.exe in startup tab of task manager?


    So I noticed this software with the name "Program" and a blank icon in the startup section of task manager. I disabled it and checked the file location. There it was written ASHelper.exe along with the location. Now the strange part is how the file location is written in task manager. It is "C:\Program" Files (x86)\Common Files\Aimersoft\Aimersoft Helper Compact\ASHelper.exe

    It's really weird how the quotes are written.

    I checked the file location, it doesn't exist I might have uninstalled it earlier. I also deleted the registery. But this program still exist in task manager. How do I remove it? What is it? I know aimersoft is a video convertor software I might have installed it but it's no longer on the PC.

    And why the file location is written like that?

    Actually, I like your suggestion as a first step.

    Unchecking the wrong thing in Autoruns can brick a system.
