    Which install is more effective if we want to do a 100% clean installerasing all data and expecting pc to run more fast then before as now its 100% empty as it came from factoryexcept windows...

    Install OS on pendrive

    it is possible to install an OS (windows/linux) onto a pendrive.. coz i hv one old mobo, with pentium 3 procs, just want to build another small pc... but i dont hv a hardrive, if it is possible to install onto a pendrive, please tell me how to do it... thx

    how to set linux to save settings to thumbdrive? any tutorials/website teach this... if anyone had tried install XP on pendrive please tell me...

    and does the transfer speed of the pendrive will effect the OS??

    C windows installer folder - Delete?

    He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink What is difference between install with pendrive >custom install>deleting all... ;)
    Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

    Like:
    First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
    Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
    Then type this in command mode as admin
    mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

    Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.
