Windows 10: What is EFS UI Application, I have BitLocker disabled on all drives

    What is EFS UI Application, I have BitLocker disabled on all drives


    I'm totally confused by this. I never installed a "EFS UI Application"If it is refering to BitLocker, it's disabled

    I suggest you to perform below mentioned steps to disable BitLocker.

    To disable BitLocker I would suggest you try the following steps and see if it helps.


    • Press Windows key + X and click on
      Control Panel.

    • Change View by from Category
      to Large Icons/Small Icons.

    • Click on BitLocker Drive Encryption and click on
      Turn BitLocker Off.

    • Follow on screen instructions. Click on Decrypt the Drive
      when the message appears.

    How to disable Bitlocker?

    To disable BitLocker I would suggest you try the following steps and see if it helps.

    1. Press Windows key + X and click on

    Bitlocker on multiple external drives

    I understand that you are facing issues with using bitlocker on Windows 10. I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.

    The issue could occur if bitlocker settings is incorrect.

    I suggest you to try decrypting the volume for the multiple external drives and then reset the bitlocker for the multiple drives.

    Note: The step provided in the below link is also applicable in Windows 10.
