Windows 10: What is Flash Tool for?

I suspect I may have a use for Flash Tool, specifically MI Flash Tool. I think it may enable Android apps to run on Windows PC? I have found various guides to downloading it to Windows 10 but not what to do with it then, or what the risks of using it might be. . I have in mind a particular app from my new Android phone, but there may be others. It is perhaps part of the increasing a welcome integration between Windows and Android?

There's nothing to suggest that in their description. It only claims to be a tool, run from a PC, for unlocking connected Android phones that are tied to a specific ISP.

Run CMD


1. diskpart
2. list disk

Then in the 3º step, put the correct number of disk in the list for the usb flash (if it's listed in disk 3, then you'll have to write select disk 3).

2. select disk #
3. clean
4. create partition primary
5. select partition 1
6. active
7. format fs=fat32
8. assign
9. exit

with that commands you will format the flash drive in fat32, if you have a large drive you can select also "format fs=ntfs" in step 7.

Handy OS X Tools and Apps

You should add VLC to that list. Plays most anything, except WMV/WMA.

And are we sticking to free tools? Cause I have suggestions for some that cost money, but are well worth it IMHO.
