My performance is running really bad because of it, and I'm getting constant lag spikes. Most of the time, I get an absolute abundance of lag. I've tried closing other processes I don't need, but the .NET Host just makes more of itself and kills my CPU. I'm also scared to close it because I don't know if it's important or something.

    ".NET Core Host" hogging CPU

Since yesterday, on one of our Windows Server 2016 machines (hosted on Amazon AWS) we're seeing a spike in CPU utilization. The culprit seems to be ".NET Core Host", in fact if I check the task manager I can see this:

I cannot find anything online regarding that particular DLL... what is it? What is it doing?

  3. Will Modern Setup Host ever not hog my CPU?

Modern Setup Host is going and going. Constantly updating, day after day after day. Never stops!

Just finished one, now it's at it again. Always hogging either CPU or Disk.

Can I just murder it somehow?

Service Host: Network List Service hogging CPU

I have a Surface Go running Windows 10 (not 10S), and recently (last few weeks) whenever it wakes from Sleep "Network List Service" starts using at least 30% of my CPU. Often my combined CPU use is 100%. This goes on for a minute or more. None of my
other computers have this problem. Suggestions?
