    So I play a lot of video games okay? I was playing an online game and my ping just spikes out of nowhere up to 4000 and it's completely unplayable so I checked task manager to see what was happening and I found Service Host: Network Service with a drop down menu with something called Delivery Optimization this was using more than 10x more of my network than anything else on my computer. I ended the task and my ping went back down to around 50 where it's usually at and was fine for a few minutes until Service Host: Network Service and Delivery Optimization started again and my internet connection was once again terrible. What is this and how do I stop it?

    Service Host: Network Service -Delivery Optimization hogging network

    Currently Service Host: Network Service -Delivery Optimization is hogging the network. Therefore nothing else can download at the right speed. For example I am using the xbox (beta) app to install Gears 5 but it is barely able to achieve a reading so downloads
    very slowly while sayin 0mb/s and intermittently stating 2-3mb/s.

    I have tried disabling and stopping Service Host: Network Service and Delivery Optimization, this either does nothing and everything still downloads slow or it forces shut down (as expected).

    I have also tried limti8ng in advanced options to 5% etc but still no change.

    Also turned off backround updates in the store.

    Any ideas how to stop it from hogging the network and allow other apps to actually use the network?

    Hello!

    There's this service host called delivery optimization and it's really sucking up all of my network, and I have been really impatient with it in the last few days. Can I stop the service? How? And are there consequences if I do that? Thanks.
