    What is the alternative solution to get a bitlocker code if one is not listed under devices...


    When I turn on my computer - it indicates that I need a recovery key ID - I can not get past this screen with out the bitlocker code and there is no code listed when I follow instructions to get the bitlocker code. I need the code - what else can I do to get it?

    My device was never registered, but need BitLocker Code.

    My device is not listed under either my or my husband's Microsoft account. It won't turn on at all so I took it to repair shop. They always back up data before mailing a device off for repair, but when they hook up a backup device, it's asking for a Bitlocker Code. Since it's not listed as a device in either of our accounts, can I register it now? Will that give me the Bitlocker code?

    my device is disabled needing a bitlocker code

    my device is disabled needing a bitlocker code. microsoft.com/recoverykeyfaq is no help.

    any suggestions?
