uhm windows update is in windows 10 already just to go settings and go to windows update then update*Biggrin,it updates drivers and other stuff

 

SDI is probably the most reliable. You would probably want the lite version.

If by "these software", you mean the driver update apps, this has already been answered -- as they sometimes download and install the wrong drivers, and this can cause your hardware to stop working properly, which would be a disaster in the case of video drivers, as you might not then even get to a working desktop.

As mentioned, they are desperate to provide SOMETHING, and don't seem to care what resulting damage that could cause.

 

OP asked about updating Apps, not just Drivers -- and WU is not going to update non-Microsoft apps.

 

I recommend DriverBooster, wouldn't want to live without it.

Free Version is fine but with paid Pro Version you can easily backup all your drivers, which helps perfectly to roll back to an older driver should there ever be an issue.

Hi, this discussion has been had at length a few times before. Please have a look at those previous discussions.
There is a clear conclusion. Do not use driver updaters.

The only circumstance in which I would suggest one is when a driver is missing and is not found by other means. I have found DriverMax helpful a couple of times in that exceptional case.

 

Long time ago I tried, I believe, DriverMax. "25 drivers were outdated" ! I started with updating 2 drivers, and immediately my system broke down. So, first advice is: donot use these apps. Second advice: when you want to use it, start with making an image (Macrium Reflect) to be able to recover.
