Windows 10: What is the D driver used for?

Hi, I am new to computers and I only have 44.9 GB left on my C driver yet the D driver has nothing on it. Is there a way I can put more storage on my C driver or something? Please help me!

• A "drive" is a mass storage device.
• A "driver" is a piece of software that allows Windows to address a piece of hardware. It does not need updating beyond what is included in Automatic Updates.

So when you write "D driver", do you mean "drive D:"?
