  1. What is this Yamaha APO in the registry folder? Should I be concerned for malware virus?

I am running a full security scan on my laptop (windows 10), following a scary possibility that my device is probably infected by malware.

I went to the registry and see that there is this Yamaha APO software I don't remember installing before, and that I find no info on the internet.

Should I be concerned of this software? Should I remove it?

As of now I haven't changed anything in the registry.

    Thanks!

    :)

Is it a Virus or a Malware or something else?

    Hello Joes,

There's a possibility that your device is infected with a malware causing why you're unable to delete the game on your laptop. In order for us to assist you better, we'd like to ask the following:

    • Aside from formatting the hard drive, what other troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
    • Have you asked your friend where did he download the games?

To identify if your computer is infected with a virus or malware, we recommend downloading and running
Microsoft Safety Scanner. The scanner can easily detect if there's any virus found on your device. To do so, follow the steps on this
    link.

We are looking forward to your reply.

What is this Yamaha APO in the registry folder? Should I be concerned for malware virus?

Did our Epson printer get hacked?

Another question, is this on a home network or a work network? The steps @eidairaman1 listed are always a good first step. If this is on a work network you manage, I'd be much more concerned than the home one. It is possible someone is screwing with you, but malware could also be the culprit.
