Windows 10: What to set in UpdateOrchestrator if it wakes up my laptop from sleep in the midnight?

I already did this:

I removed all the devices from the list, so it's empty:






But what else should I set? I just want pure thing: if I put my laptop into sleep, it will remain in sleep, until I press the Power button. I don't want to remove any file, don't want to create different scheduler plan, don't want to run 3rd party application. Just want to tell the UpdateOrchestrator NOT TO WAKE MY MACHINE.


How to do this in the end of 2019?


I'm using Windows Pro/Enterprise and this is happening since version 1903 and now I have 1909 and the same issue.

Thank you for posting your reply. Apologize for the delay in response.

I suggest you to check which devices are configured to wake up the computer from sleep by following the steps below:

• Right click on Start icon and select Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type the command line below:

Powercfg /devicequery wake_armed

3. Check if the devices (Keyboard, Mouse, Ethernet cable) are listed.

If the system is not going to sleep and going to Hybernate, the only option to wake up is to press the Power button.

Can Windows Update wake a computer from sleep if it is running on battery?

Windows sets a wake timer under UpdateOrchestrator called Reboot that wakes the computer at a set time (normally 3:30 a.m.) in order to install updates for the operating system. My question is: can Windows Update wake the laptop computer from a low-power
state (such as sleep or hibernate) if it is on battery?

 

Using laptop as desktop - can't wake it from sleep with wireless mouse or keyboard.

• 4. Test waking from Sleep with the monitor connected to the laptop.
• 5. Disconnect the monitor from the laptop, reboot, then test waking from Sleep without an external monitor.

No luck with monitor connected. Disconnected the monitor, rebooted, then tested wake-from-sleep with no external monitor - no luck.
