    what is the use of folders (ESD, Recovery and SWSetup)

    I am posting some screenshots of files on my system . I used TreeSize tool to find the space used by files.

    I want to know which of these files I can delete so that I can save space on my laptop.

    The s data folder is having virtual machines 700Gb which I use.So not possible to delete them.

    what is the use of those files inside ESD ,Microsoft and ,SWSetup,Recovery

    I did checked them but I did not had the courage to delete them.

    I plan to use this as development machine so I think I had installed so many packages which I don't remember now.

    C;\SWsetup
    includes a lof of msi files related to both programs and drivers, and more.

    For example, when you uninstall programs, you may have noted there's also sometimes a repair option.
    Deleting the related file here would cause that option to fail.

    In particular do you need hibernation? For many with a SSD there's little benefit.

    If you use Wiztree's cushion map

    Whats C:\swsetup [​IMG]

    you may find that more revealing. I find dmp files sometimes accumulate and add locations to what Ccleaner cleans based on what I see here.
