    But I have a SATA port available. And many USB 3 ports too.

    How much exactly does Windows 10 benefit from being installed on an M2 NVME SSD compared to a SATA-600 SSD ?

    Other than a faster boot time, how exactly does windows benefit from the direct connection to the cpu that an NVME SSD offers?

    Is a NVME Enclosure Required For Cloning?

    Why would that not make sense? My laptop has an NVMe and a SATA SSD inside. One is for the OS and one is for data/backup. In fact, I have a rescue partition set up on the second SSD, so if the first SSD should fail, I can boot the computer from the second SSD. But, if you insist on getting an enclosure, then get a SATA to USB enclosure for the 2.5" SATA SSD. Install the NVMe drive in the computer, remove the 2.5" SATA SSD and put it in the enclosure. Then clone from the 2.5" SATA SSD to the NVMe drive.

    How to clone NVMe M2 to Nvme M2 (with single slot in computer) ?

    NavyLCDR,
    The 1TB SSD is about 60% full of critical Data and I have no place to copy this data to. Thus I can not risk the SSD loosing this data.
    As I mentioned, I put the new 4TB NVME in an USB enclosure but it was not recognized by windows.
    Blast2020 suggested a similar device, Sabrent USB 3.1 Aluminum Enclosure for M.2 NVMe SSD. So unless the enclosure I used was at fault, I do not see Blast2020's suggestion helpful.
    I want to Partition the new 4TB NVME then copy from the live OS on the 120GB NVME to the 4TB NVME, if that is possible ???
    Can you provide any instructions, Please ?
