Windows 10: What's the difference between a photo album and a video project?

Windows Photo app seems a little weird. I suddenly have multiple albums and video projects while trying to work with just one. Video Project seems the same as a photo album.


Can anyone explain?

merging "project library" to photos album in windows 10

Creating an album in photos is no problem but when adding new photos to the album the additional photos go to "project library" and not the story board. Same thing with videos. How do you merge the project library to the story board?

We understand the difficulties you are facing with the Photos App, while exporting video project. We were able to create and export the video project. So the issue could be with photos app installed in the PC. I would suggest you
to follow the steps mentioned in these methods.



Method 1: Please refer the steps as mentioned in

Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store article.



Method 2: You can also try to re-install the app using PowerShell. Here are steps to re-install photos app:

1. Open PowerShell (Admin). Right click on the start button and then on PowerShell (Admin).
   
2. Then type: get-appxpackage *Microsoft.Windows.Photos* | remove-appxpackage
   
3. Once the above command is successful. You can install the Photo app from Microsoft Store.

Photo's app removes my photo's from an album

To help resolve you concern, what we suggest is to modify your photos properly. Follow these steps:

• 
  Select the Start
  
  
  
  button, then select Photos.
• 
  Select Albums, select the album you want, then select
  Edit . Or, to start creating a new album, select New album , select the photos you want to include, and then select
  Done .
  
• 
  Do any of the following:
  
  • 
    Type to enter a new title.
    
  • 
    Select Add or remove photos, select the ones you want, then select
    Done .
    
  • 
    To change the photo shown at the top, select Change cover, choose a photo, then select
    Done .
