Windows 10: Whatsapp web desktop app on windows 10 isn't loading QR Code

I had whatsapp 64-bit downloaded on my windows 10 laptop and it used to work fine and then randomly one day it logged me out and ever since the QR code does not load and the loading wheel just spins continuously and it's driving me mad.


I've tried uninstalling, resinstalling, installing older versions, installing from different browsers, installing and running and administrator, i've tried connecting it to different wifi networks and hardline connections... nothing has worked so far.


I can still use whatsapp web on my browser, but i find this annoying having it open in a tab and would rather use the desktop app so i can see notifcations and so it doesn't get lost in different tabs I have open.


Does anyone know what might be causing the QR code to not load or have any idea on how to fix this?

alcatel IDOL 4S unable to scan whtsapp web QR code

Hello,

I recently bought alcatel idol4s from Microsoft US store.

I have configured 'WhatsApp' in my new phone.

I tried to connect whatsapp to whatsapp web via app for Windows 10 & via multiple browser.

But camera is unable to scan the QR code.

I tried to scan whatsapp QR code using 3rd party app and its working in fraction of seconds.

I have ensured that 'WhatsApp' has permission to access camera.

Anybody facing same issue?

My Windows & WhatsApp version as follows =

Version: 1703

OS Build: 10.0.15063.674

WhatsApp version: 2.17.262

QR Code Question

I'm working on completely rebranding the company I work for. Everything from the website, trucks, business cards to the shipping boxes. I am basically creating a new brand from the ground up.

I've done this before but I have never used a QR code. My question is I see a lot of QR code generators online that are free. However when I type in the same exact web address I notice the pattern in the code is different from site to site and day to day but, the code I generated last week seems to work fine.

Do QR codes expire and is there a way to pay for one so that a year from now the QR codes on the sides of our trucks don't lead people to some strange porn site or something?

 

Windows 10 BSOD Errors to Come with Troubleshooting QR-Codes

With its latest Preview Build (build 14316), Microsoft patched Windows 10 to make BSOD (blue-screen of death) errors more useful for system analysts and power-users. The blue-screen now puts up a QR-code to the knowledge-base page related to the error. Microsoft also set up an easy to remember URL at "windows.com/stopcode" for quick-reference to info and possible fixes to various kinds of errors.

The Register makes a valid case for how QR-codes in BSOD screens can be misused by malware developers. Malware or ransomware developers can now make their wares fake a BSOD screen with a QR-code that leads to their web-page to steal your information, or point you to download even more malware.
