Windows 10: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR

Hello.


I've had a problem for a few days now. My PC seems to run into a BSOD quite often. First it would just occur while watching YouTube not Netflix, Amazon Prime.... I started to look into the problem, did some tests and figured that it could be the PSU. After I installed the new one the problem was still there. Now, after, I believe, 4 resets of Microsoft Windows 10 Home Edition, the problem still remains though the BSOD now appears after trying to install for example Chrome. The install did work after quiet a few attempts. I can't browse with Chrome - but with Microsoft Edge. Neither can i uninstall Chrome - because a BSOD appears every time I try to do so.


For you to know:

- BIOS just updated

- drivers all updated I believe so via Device-Manager and through Internet research

- Windows up to date

- System virtually empty besides Windows itself, and the drivers.

CPU: i5-6600k

Motherboard: ASUS Z170-P

GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1060 6GB Gaming X

SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 250GB

RAM: G.Skill 2x8GB 2400MHz DDR4

PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower GF 1 850W prob too op


I am not sure what to do now. At first I thought that it might be a hardware problem. But the fact that I can browse freely and for as long as I want with Microsoft Edge but can't even browse for 30sec with Google Chrome makes it look a lot more like a software problem.


I already did a MemTest86 for ~3hrs the full test with 0 errors as a result.

I stressed the CPU and GPU with Prime95 and FurMark with 0 errors as a result.

The SSD got also tested and switched out with another one because I have two identical ones both just not used on this system right now with 0 errors as a result.

I would like to inform that the WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR bug check has a value of 0x00000124. This bug check indicates that a fatal hardware error has occurred. This bug check uses the error data that is provided by the Windows Hardware Error Architecture
(WHEA).

I appreciate your effort on this. However, In order to help you with the appropriate troubleshooting steps, we will need the following details:

• When do you the error message?
  
• Which build version and edition of Windows are you using? To check type:
  winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
  Enter.
  
• What is the make and model of the computer?
  

As per the dump file shared by you, the error seems to be with the Cache of the Intel processor. I suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the article
