Windows 10: When i try and reset my login pin it says ''Something went wrong''

I have forgotten my login pin, but it wont let me reset it. Every time i log onto my computer it aks me to put my pin in but i don't know it. I have tried going onto settings, sign in options and reset pin but it still doesn't work. Please could you help, thanks in advance.

Resetting PIN on Windows 10 Issues

I am getting a message at start up in the login screen saying I've tried several times to login with the wrong PIN. Even thought I haven't done a thing yet. It also looks like I have two accounts listed in the lower left corner. I can login using my Microsoft
password but, why can I no longer use the PIN step instead? Can I reset my PIN?

I tried steps of both links:

• #1: reset PIN code
  
  • I see no link "reset your PIN"on login page --> I can't reset it
    
• #2: change or reset windows password
  
  • My Windows account is not displayed at all on login page.
    
  • I am using a local account
    

If you have any other suggestion, I would be more than happy to try.

OSK PIN login on non-touch device

Hello,

I suggest you to create a PIN for your device and try the on screen keyboard to login to the same.

You may follow the steps below to create PIN protection for your device.

• 
  Go to Settings and select account.
  
• 
  Click on sign in option and Go to PIN option.
  
• 
  Now click on Add and set PIN for login.
  

You can use the same PIN to login to your device using the on screen Keyboard from ease of access option and verify the result.
