    When I wake from sleep, the resolution on my monitor has changed from 4k to 1080p HD


    About once a week, I'll wake my pc from sleep and find the resolution locked at 1080p. Sometimes I can change the resolution back to 4k from the display settings, most of the times i cannot. It's usually easier to just reboot the PC. My graphics driver is up to date as is windows.Windows 11 HomeVersion: 22H2OS Build 22621.1702Processor: i7-8700Ram: 32GBGraphics Card: NVidia Geforce RTX 2070 SuperGraphics Driver: 535.98

    4K and 1080p monitors

    Hello everyone,

    I have a question regarding the different resolutions of computer screens. I have laptop with a 4K display and I have a 1080p monitor. Most applications that I use tend to scale correctly when I drag them across displays. However some applications like IDLE
    or Corsair UE don't tend to change their resolutions. They tend to stay the same when dragged to another display, so if it started on the 1080p screen it would go to really small and stay small on the 4k display and if I drag it from the 4k to the 1080p display
    the application is massive and can't be viewed. Is there any possible shortcut which can be used to "refresh" the application without quitting and re-opening?

    1080p Laptop Sceen to 4K Monitor

    Hi All,

    I recently updated to a 4K Monitor which i have attached as a second display to my Alienware 1080P Laptop.

    I have noticed at first setup that the 4K monitor has everything so small due to its DPI advantage but its unreadable.

    If i change the resolution to 125% .. 150% the screen becomes blurry.

    If i change the main display to my Monitor it becomes crystal clear at 150% but my laptop screen becomes blurry and zoomed in.

    any help would be great.

    Here is a list of the common resolutions and what they are known as:

    720p = 1280 x 720 - HD or HD Ready

    1080p = 1920 x 1080 - Full HD

    2K = 2048 x 1080

    1440p = 2560 x 1440 - QHD or Quad HD

    4K or 2160p = 3840 x 2160 - 4K, UHD or Ultra HD

    8K or 4320p = 7680 x 4320 - 8K
