photos will only look at some photos when importing from honor 9 smartphone. it was working okay a while ago

• How are you trying to import the photos?
  
• Do you receive any error message/code when trying to import the photos? If yes, what is the error message?
  
• When you say, “photos previously - some are now corrupt or cannot be opened”, what is the complete error message that you receive?
  
• Which program are you using to open the photos?

You may try restoring the files to a previous version and see if that helps. Please follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Navigate to the location where the photos are stored.
   
2. Right click on the folder and select Restore previous version.

Importing photos from Android phone.

When I try to import photos from my Android phone the Windows 10 photo app. shuts down when I click on the import button. The photo app worked as it was supposed seven days ago and all the time previous of today. Could this be a glitch in the latest security
update. I am trying to import photos via USB cable.

 

No option to import photos from Android

I am attempting to download some photos from my Android phone onto my computer via USB. When I plug my phone into my computer, the Windows Photos app automatically opens and shows a list of all photos on my phone. It says "Select items to import from."
However, there is no button or option to actually start the import of the photos. It has only started doing this recently, and in the past there would be a button for me to start the import after choosing my photos. I haven't changed any settings or downloaded
anything in the past few days so I'm not sure what would be causing this problem.
