When is Microsoft going to FIX local area NETWORKING? Specifically, IDENTICAL computers on the same network, seeing each other. I have 5 machines, all Win 10 Pro and this has been an ONGOING PROBLEM for years now. Two of those computers can see each other on the network. The other three IDENTICAL setup machines, cannot see each other or those two. One of the two that can see each other, CAN see the 3 that can't see anything else.I have even set ALL 5 machines to the identical login name and password and ALL are full admin.Enough of the excuses. Windows networking is broken. There is NO

Ethernet Light Orange/ "Local Area Network" Not in Network List

Last night I noticed my ethernet light on the back of my computer was orange. I did some research to find the reason. Some websites said it was an increased connection speed. Others said a problem with the connection.
The local area network is no longer in the list of network connections and the other computer in my house has a green light on the ethernet port.
I've used all the cmd.exe ipconfig steps suggested by websites. Flush dns, reset dns, etc. I've also used the network troubleshooter in windows10 which told me a problem was not found.
Nothing seems to change the light back to green. Can someone help me find the problem so I can fix it?

 

Missing field Connect using in Local Area Connection Properties

Have you tried uninstalling the Network Adapter? Since there is no properties in the Local Area Connection, we suggest that you uninstall the Network Adapter. Follow the steps below:

• Press Windows Key + R.
• Type devmgmt.msc.
• Right click on the Network Adapter.
• Select Uninstall.
• Select Ok.
• Select Scan for Hardware changes.

Update us on the results.

 

My new computer doesn't display my local area network

Hi. I'm running Windows 10 Pro on a new INSPIRON 3650 and the computer isn't detecting my local area network. The Ethernet cable is plugged into the computer. Realtec driver is up to date. Any suggestions? Thanks. Diane
