    When naming new OneDrive folder it stops the edit mid change


    So I add a new sub-folder to an existing OneDrive folder, and the "New Folder" title is highlighted blue ready for me to change. In the middle of typing the new name it seems to sync and stops taking my input. Now if that was it, the problem wouldn't be so bad, except that for an instant before it your text editing, it wipes out all text that has been written so far and if you are still typing fast it replaces anything else you have already written with the last thing you type.


    Example: I start renaming a folder to "Client 1" but after typing the last space and before I get to type the "1", the whole test disappears and I keep typing the "1" and that's what my file name ends up as "1". I can go back in and change it, but this happens almost every f'n time.


    There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason to how long it takes before the typed test disappears, but it's always within 0.5 to 12 seconds.


    The same thing happens occasionally when renaming an existing file, but not as often.


    Is this an issue that anyone else has?

    Windows 10 - OneDrive

    Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

    If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

    name changes??

    If you desire a name change please do the following:

    • Ask yourself if you really need a name change.
    • Make sure you have a good reason.
    • Know what you want your new name to be before you request a name change.
    • Send Urlyin a PM containing a decent explanation of your reason as well as your desired name.

    Hi there, I know that OneDrive forums are locked until June 20th, but I have a little confusion about changing names on folders, because I've installed some apps there so, maybe I was wondering if I change the name of the folder that is on the Path to let
    a program or app works as usual; for example, I have a program installed on "JOSE FILES", and then I change the name folder to "Files"; will cause problems?

    Note: I've already change the name to "Files", but I didn't open any app because I wanna ask first, but when I did change the name, my PC had work a little bit more than usual.
