Windows 10: Whenever i plug in my laptop background music starts playing in edge and can't be stooped.

Whenever i plug in my hp laptop running in widows 11 home, out of nowhere background music starts playing in microsoft edge. Its too annoying and even after clicking the end task in task manager it keeps on coming. However if i charge my laptop in shutdown mode and thereafter use it on battery, this proble does not arise. I have done all the possible things like clean boot, running chkdsk, msconfig and even changing the directory logs but nothing is working when i plug in my laptop. I even force-uninstalled the edge but then it runs in chrome. What to do?

A random music started playing in the background on my laptop. This happened while i was listening to a song on my laptop.the ranfom song over laped my song. I couldnt see any program running. The music stoped after a. While. Still i couldn't find any
program that was active at that time

 

My plug and play is still on running after 2.5 Hours

I would suggest you to stop the plug and play service and again start the service and check the status of this issue. Follow the steps below to stop the Plug and Play service.

  Press Windows Key + R key
  
• 
  Type “Services.msc” and press Enter
  
• 
  Right click on Plug and Play and click on stop
  
• 
  Again start the service.

Edge will not play streamed music when minimized


That's because it's a Universal App, and all universal apps (with the exception of specific apps written to use background API's for playing music) are suspended when minimized.

Since you're playing music via flash or similar, it doesn't have the ability to use those background API's while running in Edge, so it too will be suspended. The same is true of Netflix movies, or Youtube videos.

You would be better off getting a specific app for the purpose of playing the music you want, because those apps can use the background api.
