Windows 10: Where is the download for Windows Movie Maker 2.6?

Would you mind explain why you insist on WMM 2.6 ?
Is there something you need to do that Windows Live Movie Maker 12 cannot do ?

 

He wants V 2.6, the one with windows live is version 12 now.I think.

What difference does it make? He asked about 2.6.

 

The difference is ....................
1. The OP insists to install 2.6 from Microsoft site only.
2. Only WMM12 is available in Microsoft site.
3. My reply was to Edwin, not to the OP. Post #17 and #18.

 

I want 2.6 because it has different transitions and effects that the latest (WMM12 from the Essentials suite) doesn't have, such as the fly-in newspaper, and the rolling credits.

You only mentioned WMM 2.6 and XP in your original post.
You never said you had tried WMM12 until now.
If you did so in the original post, I would not have even participated in this thread.

It just worked for me.

One of the big differences is that WMM 2012 does not show any thumbnails in the timeline.

 

IMHO, 6.0 is superior to 2.6 and it also can work on Windows 10:
