Had a look at that, and to be honest wonders why someone offers a FREE version that saves all our data, and WHERE does it save it too??? Seems a bit iffy to me ..................................

  2. The Backup Image is a file.
You need to use a storage device to save the Backup Image (e.g. an external HDD).

You can transfer the Backup Image to the Cloud if you want.

Simple - YOU buy a USB disk, and YOU tell Macrium to save images to the disk you've paid for.. or wherever you choose e.g. over a network.

Macrium has a commercial offering as well with some extra features, and you only get access to the forum if you have a paid-for license. Naturally in providing a very competent free program they hope you'll buy a license.

Aomei Backupper is similar- free/commercial. Nothing suspicious about that.

I've got 50GB free on OneDrive. How about you give me $1 a month and I'll host your 44GB. You save a dollar, I gain a dollar and everyone is happy!

Assuming we start today, after 83 years (1000 months at $1 per month) we can both buy an iPhone X with our profit.

What do you say? Yes or no?

great idea, but haven't been properly introduced, to trust with my data *092 *Busted Seriously I tried one drive and then was told I had to pay for it, but then, after I moved to free Google MY Drive, (I upped the ante much later), It seems that One Drive must have seen their custom running out the door, so they obviously changed plans???

After 83 years, I love that!!!! If I am still around then, I will be 151 years old *Homer Drooling

Honestly - you probably have 32 (or 64 or 128) GB of important stuff.

Buy a USB key for $20 and back up all your pictures (and whatever) and post it to your friend/whatever.

That is the best backup you can do. If someone breaks into your house and steals your PC you'll still have the important stuff.

    Je vous en pris.

Don't take notice of the flag though. I had a Hungarian one until I remembered I'd moved from Hungary to France 4 years ago.

I speak English pretty well though. I think.
