Windows 10: Which edition of Windows to use on my PC?

Hello,

I have a HP Envy m4 with a quad core 3rd gen i7 processor, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, 1TB OF HDD. It came pre-installed with Windows 8.1 and later on, I upgraded it to Windows 10. Since then, I've had a good user experience, but it keeps freezing up completely after an hour of usage.


Now I'm in a dilemma. Should I reinstall Windows 10 or should I go back to Windows 8.1 , which was more quick, stable but almost out of security updates?


Because I've heard about Windows 8.1 being supported only until 2023.


Or is there any other solution to stop the "freezing up" ? It is completely certain that my PC will freeze after an hour.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
