    No doubt in my mind, he's running the latest version (send me an email last Friday for testing purposes) : 1511_10586.3.

    Melinda Gates has been very strict on the fact that no Apple branded products are allowed in the house. The kids use Windows branded products. As for the actual software that runs the house. You can venture to guess that it is most likely Red Hat Enterprise handling the workload, with Microsoft's server & sharepoint systems handling the front end.

    It has always been a closed secret as to what exactly is running the house, since Microsoft's Software Engineers designed it from the ground up.

    I'm sure he runs the latest Surface with Win10, and probably not much more than that. Since he stepped away from the board a couple years age, he's been full time with the charity foundation. I did read he collaborated on the O365 project, but even that was a couple years back.
