    Whole system hangs upon first login, works again perfectly after I sign out and log back in


    Title basically. The first login upon turning my PC on every icon is blank, my taskbar icons don’t show up, if I try to click anything it hangs and comes up with “windows isn’t responding, end process”. If I do ctrl+alt+dlt and sign out then back in everything works perfectly.

    Anyone else encountered this before?

    MW2 Problem

    I think the game is booting, then Steam is trying to boot, but is hanging during the login process, hell it may be sitting there wait for you to enter your password.

    Try this, turn Steam On and log in. Click on the game listed in the "My Games" tab to start MW2 and see if the problem continues. If that does not work, you have 2 other suggestions above.

    Please confirm the following things for me.

    1. Is your system connected to the internet? You can check this through the network icon at the bottom left corner of your login screen.
    2. What error message are you receiving when you login with your Microsoft account?

    I would suggest you to login to
    http://login.live.com/     with your Microsoft account and check if you are able to sign-in with your credentials.

    If you are able to sign-in with your Microsoft account on the live website, you can follow the steps in this article to ‘Start
    your PC in safe mode in Windows 10    ’, kindly follow the steps in the section ‘From the sign-in screen’ and check if you are able to login to your system.

    In post 26 there were steps listed to fix the operating system corruption.
    Are you able to follow them?
    In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.
