Windows 10: Why am I getting html in my email messages that flow through Mail client?

I have recently been receiving html code in lieu of or in addition to text in email received through the Mail client. I do not have this problem when I receive it via phone, or if I log directly into my email service provider AOL, or if I route the AOL email through my Gmail account. That leads me to believe it is an issue with the Mail client app handshake. I do not find any setting or filters on the client app which might address this. Any ideas to fix this?

This may be due to when Windows Live Mail is unable to read emails in HTML coded format. I would suggest you try the following steps and check if the issue gets fixed.

Method 1: Check settings.

1. Open Windows Live Mail and click on File > Options > Mail.

2. Now, click on Read tab and uncheck the box for
Read all mails as Plain Text.

Method 2: Add the sender to Safe sender's list.

Follow the steps below:

1. Open Windows Live mail and right-click on the email that you are unable to read emails from.

2. Select Junk Mail and click on Add sender to the Safe Sender's list.

Seeking a special HTML email sending tool or client

I'm looking for a tool that will read a file of HTML source, read local files pointed to by <img> elements, build the appropriate MIME structure that includes both the body and images, and sends it. I know this is possible because the bulk mailing product GroupMail does it, but it also includes a lot of other stuff that I don't need - mailing list management, send throttling, etc.

I guess I would be satisfied with a tool that just builds the MIME structure; I could always send the result with a regular email client.

Anyone aware of such a tool?

My current email client - Mozilla's Thunderbird - allows pasting in HTML source but it does not process the source looking for the <img> references. It also eliminates some of the formatting (but renders the formatting correcting in HTML emails it receives).

 

Will the E71 MfE client get HTML and folders?

That is correct. Currnet versions of MfE do not support HTML Email. Nokia Messaging has supported HTML Email for several versions now on most devices. You can find a knowledge article online that lists the devices that are not supporting that functionality.




HTML support in the installable MfE is on the table and being worked on but no timeline. The Nokia E75 device currently has the messaging application pre-installed and has the HTML Email ability for all mailboxes including Mail for Exchange. There are
no email applications to install on the E75, firmware pre-installed only.
