Windows 10: Why can't I use my 1TB HHD to save music files etc...

I just bought a Computer with a 1 TB hard drive and a 268 GB solid drive.... The solid drive is already full only had for 24 hours and nothing is being saved on the 1 TB drive even when I request it to go there.... My old computer held all my games and all my music and was a much smaller hard drive.... but now it is looking to be the better computer.... if I can't figure out how to save to the 1 TB hard drive, what good is it...

New computer. Windows 10. 240 SSD and 2 T HHD. What files go where?

Purchased a new dell Computer loaded. Came with a 240 plus SSD and 2 T HHD. The HDD was not set up except as a back up according to dell support. No help at all.... I was able to move my onedrive to the HDD and I set up a sample Document folder on the
HDD. I now need to download my carbonite saved files from my old computer, almost .75 T of saved files. Photos, music, video, cad files etc. What files can I move from the C drive SSD to D drive and how. Thank you. Keith Scheidemantle

 

Can not save photo files on hhd-(files locked or in use by another program)

I tried to save several photo files that already exist on my hhd to another folder on the same hhd. the file was open in photoshop 6. I received the message that the file was could not be save as is was locked and I should use window explorer properties
to unlock it. I tried several other photo files and received the same message regardless of where the file was originally stored. I am running w10 on a asus g73 machine 2 external 2tb hhd ,1 internal 2tb dr and 1internal 120gb (c) ssd drive.

can anyone help or at least point me in the right direction...thanks in advance

Saves log files ?

You can either read the files in Windows or my preferred method is.....

Download CCcleaner from here...........

You can then run cleaner, you will see the log files listed, then if you right click you can save as a text file and then have a read. You may also get an "error reporting" log listed seperatly.
