  1. Why did my computer delete its own files?

I logged onto my laptop and got a notification from OneDrive saying that about 230 files were deleted even though I wasn't on the computer yet. When I first logged on, the loading screen had kind of skipped a step, First loading up the screen that you would get if you put your computer to sleep and turned it back on and then skipping to the screen you would get when fully turning on your computer. I'm unsure if this may be a system error or if it is normal, I'm asking this just to confirm or be able to take further action. Some of the files deleted were "System.Linq.Parallel.dll" , System.IO.P

Step 1 - I upgraded to Win 10 and lost all my files on Desktop.

Step 2 - Found the files in Network - USers- Desktop

copied all files again to desktop.

Step 4 - As suggested did the following as listed below but dont find my files.

    • Press “Windows + E”, open This PC/Computer
    • Open Local Disc C, open Windows.old
