    Why do they make it so B****Y difficult


    We can't activate Windows on this device because we can't connect to your organisations activation server.
    Make sure that you're connected to you're connected to your organisations Network and try again.
    If You continue having problems with activation, contact your organisations support person.
    Error code: 0x8007232B.


    The problem with the above reply, is the fact that I do not belong to any organisation, I am a 70 year old computer fanatic, recently, my graphics card went west (crapped out). Also it knackered my "C" drive, consequently, it will not accept serial number. The Microsoft help page just give the above error.

    • What was the error message/code you were getting?
    • What happens when you try to open the new Y: drive?
    Try the following steps and check if it helps:

    Step 1:

    I would suggest you to check if you are able to view the new Y: drive and if there is any memory loss in the Disk Management.

    Follow the below steps to check the disk partitions from the Disk Management:

    • Right click on the Start button and select Disk Management option.
    • Check if you are able to view the new Y: drive and memory loss.
    If the issue persists then follow the below step.

    Step 2:

    I suggest you to run check disk on the hard drive to see if there are any corruptions.

    Follow the below steps:

    • Windows key + X, click Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Command Prompt, type the following command, and then press
      ENTER
      :
    chkdsk /f

    Disclaimer: While performing check disk on the hard drive, if any bad sectors are found then check disk will try to repair that sector. Any data available on a bad sector might be lost.

    Once Check Disk completes, boot the computer and then check.

    If the issue still persists then, I suggest you to provide us the screenshot of the issue in order to assist you further.

  3. Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


    I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

    Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
    We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
    I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
    Step 1:
    Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

    1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
    2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
    3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.
    Step 2:
    I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
    3. Select add someone else on this PC.
    4. Enter a user name and hit next.
    5. Click on Finish.
    6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
    Step 3:
    It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

    2. Is this an external/internal webcam?
    3. If it’s an external webcam, may I know the make and model of the webcam?
