Why do thousands of Photos show up sometimes in Recycle Bin that were never Deleted and still exist in the Photos folder?

Is it safe to permanently delete recycle bin?

    why is this happening?

How to stop this from happening again as it is confusing me when I go to look to verify I haven't unintentionally deleted an image there should only be 10 or so in there and see 20,000 images appear that I didn't delete

    :)

    recycle bin

    Hi George,

To prevent your files from being deleted from the Recycle Bin, we suggest increasing the maximum file size your Recycle Bin can keep by following the steps below:

    • Right click on the Recycle Bin icon.
    • Under the Settings for selected location, select Custom size.
    • Fill up the box for your allotted maximum file size for your Recycle Bin.
Let us know if you need further assistance.

Photos in recycle bin and photos folder

Why do Photos show up in Recycle Bin that were never deleted, and are still in my Photos folder? I'm now afraid to empty recycle bin for fear of losing photos, or anything else that I never physically deleted.

Deleted Items Not Showing In Recycle Bin

On the desktop there is the recycle bin.

The following has just started to happen.

Before when I deleted something, the recycle bin showed that there was something in the bin.

Now when I delete something the recycle bin does NOT show that there is something in the bin.

I have to click on the recycle bin and OPEN it to see if anything is there.

Then I delete the items I want to.

    Can anyone please help.
