  1. Why do Windows 10 updates screw up my system?

Got a new PC for Xmas. Unfortunately it came with Windows 10. Seemed okay at first but then it updated...

    I can no longer:

    - use quiet mode for some reason (wtf!?)

    - use a second monitor (wtf was in the update to stop me from doing this!?)
    - find any of the files that I saved prior to the update - they have all completely disappeared.

    - prevent "you must restart your PC" pop-ups (and the accompanying irritatingly loud sound) at all. On this note, why do I get this message immediately after restarting because I received that same message? Why do Windows 10 updates screw up my system?

It's almost like Microsoft are trying their **** to make this system such a frustrating chore to use that everyone will instantly go out and buy it's replacement when it finally comes.

Can anybody provide me with a decent reason as to why I shouldn't just reinstall Windows 7 again? Because if I have to tolerate this OS for much longer, I'm gonna end up chucking my PC through the window.

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
