Windows 10: why does Cortana unable to play Music . It is saying I'm sorry, I can't control your music...

I want to use my voice commands to play music � on my Windows 10 Laptop but I can't . Cortana says I'm sorry, I can't control your music here. I have both the music players Groove Music and MusicBee but she cant control the music � .I have used commands like play the musicpause the musicresume the music but nothing works .It always shows I'm sorry, I can't control your music here.

Cortana won't play local music

Hi Joseph,

Cortana plays musics that are located in a folder where Groove is set to look for music. You can add more folders to it by following this steps:

• Open Groove Music.
• Under Albums, click Choose where we look for music.
• Click + to add a folder.
• Browse for the folder that you wanted and click Add this folder to Music
  and Cortana will now play musics on the folder.

yes I'm able to chat with Cortana.

my command is for playing music, so its happening with this command, rest were working fine, till what I've experienced. when i'm giving the command to play music, it's opening a bing search in the browser for that and not directly playing music even from
groove.

I've followed all the steps mentioned above, cleared my device history as told but it didn't help.

please help me in other ways possible, i'll try whatever you say,

I appreciate the help but you don't seem to be understanding the problem.

I say "Hey Cortana, play music". What should happen next is that my local files, loaded in Groove Music, play.

What actually happens is Cortana tells me that she can play music on the iheartradio app, and the Windows Store is open.

I just want Cortana to open Groove Music when I say "play music".
