Windows 10: Why does Forza Horizon 4 take so long to load now?

My game is currently taking 1:10 to get to the menu, 1:00 to load the option to continue and 40s to load the actual game. What the hell is going on with this game? It looks like the more I progress in the game, the longer it takes to load, it used to be super quick in the beta. I've already tried reinstalling it (all the 80GB+) and didn't make a difference. This looks like GTA V loading times, which is a game with very little in-game loadings, while Forza is FILLED with loadings, not only that, but MY GAME IS ON MY SSD! How is it even possible to take this long? And how the heck has the loading time incrementally increased since launch? The game doesn't load everything on start (at least shouldn't, since has many in-game loadings).


My hardware:

CPU - i7 2600k @4.4GHz

RAM - 16GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9

GPU - GTX 1070 Ti stock

SSD - Samsung 850 EVO 250GB (the drive in which the game is located, and there's no issue with it)

Forza Horizon 4 will not unistall

Hi Titus,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I'd suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Click on Start menu, and look for Forza Horizon 4. Right click on it and select
Uninstall.

You can also uninstall the game through settings by following the below steps.

1. Press Windows key + I together to open Settings.

2. Click on Apps > Apps & features.

3. Click on Forza Horizon 4.

4. Select Uninstall.

Let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's fixed.
