Why does it take over 2 minutes to Clear History in Microsoft Edge? Microsoft Edge takes over 2 minutes to Clear History even if you cleared the history minutes ago and did not do any additional browsing. Microsoft Edge remains running in the background after closing all tabs and windows. Microsoft Edge locks up due to Phishing URLs and I have to use Task Manager to End Task. Unable to copy URLs listed in Microsoft Edge History.

My edge clear history has stopped working. The only way I can clear the history is to right click on web page in the history list then select delete.
