Why does Microsoft have such a convoluted login system

Every time I login on on alternate device I enter my password, It sends a code to my email for security. It then proceeds to force me to reset my password. I've been forced into so may password resets I lose track and can barely remember my password. Then I have to renter my password across my devices. Its So frustrating and essentially makes setting a password USELESS time consuming endeavor as each new device I login to I must reset my password on that and all previous devices.

All my devices remember the password, SO The only time I enter my password on a new device is when I'm forced to reset my password. Who designed this. How can I take my password settings off security so high its impractical and breaks the point of having a password?

    :)

Why does Microsoft have such a convoluted login system

    Not Able to login

    Hi,

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

Please confirm the following things for me.

    1. Is your system connected to the internet? You can check this through the network icon at the bottom left corner of your login screen.
    2. What error message are you receiving when you login with your Microsoft account?

I would suggest you to login to
    http://login.live.com/
with your Microsoft account and check if you are able to sign-in with your credentials.

If you are able to sign-in with your Microsoft account on the live website, you can follow the steps in this article to ‘Start
your PC in safe mode in Windows 10
’, kindly follow the steps in the section ‘From the sign-in screen’ and check if you are able to login to your system.

    We await your response.
