Windows 10: Why Does my Default App Revert Back to MS Default?

I changed my .pdf default to PDFComplete, and it reverts back to IE often. My guess is it happens every time MS does an update to my Win10 Pro (v 1803 Build 17134.706). Any thoughts on how to prevent this in the future?

Lost default photo viewer after profile rebuild


Thanks Brink. I've tried those steps before i started searching Google. After the profile rebuild i don't have the Photo app listed to choose to make it default in either the system settings for default apps or the Open With option.

I can't even find it doing a search. Seems to have been removed somehow with the profile rebuild, which doesn't make sense.

Might be helpful to list what i've done I've done the open with check, the choose default program in the system menu, tried that in device manager default programs also. I've checked the programs and features Turn windows features on/off and it's not listed there (never thought it was but that was a suggestion), searched the MS Store, it's not listed there either.

I don't like playing in the registry unless i have defined steps and haven't found anything for this yet, just the Win7 version like in my OP.

 

atiTool reverting back to default

I'm useing a Sapphire Radeon 9200 Atlantis 256mg. Its defaults are Core:249 Memory:189 I'm trying to overclock it to 290 and 210 but every time I start up any game it reverts back to 249 and 189 any ideas?

 

atiTool reverting back to default

atitool keeps reverting back to its default settings Im sertin I installed the soft mod but it still won't stay over clocked after starting up counter-strike. How do i check to see if I have the soft mod installed and any other help would be great. Thanks
