    Why does Notification say 6 new notifications but action center says No new notifications?


    Notification says 6 new notifications but action center says No new notifications. The 6 is still there but never do I ever see notifications in the action center when I used to for the first couple months after I upgraded to Windows 10 in December 2017.


    This has been happening for months now. Reboots don't help. Updates don't help. Then someone on Facebook suggest I check out one post on here but it didn't ever fix the problem so I decided to start my own thread.

    Notifications No Longer Showing up in the Action Center Notification List

    Hello,

    I have the Production Release of Windows 10. When I upgraded yesterday the Action Center, with regards to notifications, was working fine. Today the icon changes from dark to light to indicate new notifications (and if the cursor is hovered over the icon
    it will say there are new notifications) but when I click on the icon it opens to a blank list and says "No New Notifications". The icon will then "go dark". This has happened all day today; icon says there's new notifications, list is blank, wash... rinse...
    repeat. Any ideas?

    Follow these steps to check if it works:

    Step 1: Open the Windows Settings menu by pressing the Windows Key and “I,” or alternatively search for Settings in the Windows search bar and click the corresponding result.

    Step 2: Click Notifications & Actions in the left-hand menu. This will take you to a screen providing access to all of the settings related to notifications and the Action Center.

    Step 3: Click the System icon, then select Notifications and actions from the left-hand menu.

    Step 4: Look for the Notifications subheading, where you will see a number of toggles for various types of notifications. The following is a list of the settings you can toggle on this screen:

    • Get notifications from apps and other senders
    • Show notifications on the lock screen
    • Show alarms, reminders, and incoming VoIP calls on the lock screen
    • Hide notifications when duplicating my screen
    • Get tips, tricks, and suggestions as you use Windows
    You may just turn them off the notification as you need.
