Windows 10: Why does resetting the Movies and TV app cause my subtitles to disappear?

I recently reset my Movies and TV app and when I went to watch John Wicka movie I purchased, with closed captions, the subtitles were not showing anymore. I have tried most of the solutions posted on different threads, but I was wondering if there were any other options in which I did not have redownload the movie everytime I reset the Movies and TV app.

Have you tried turning off cc and turning it on again near the volume icon?

Sadly Autumn it seems like this is one of the video files that the inbuilt subtitles are not supported for by the movies and tv app. I am really sorry for the trouble this caused.

 

Windows 10 Movies & TV Subtitle Syncing

Is there an option to sync subtitles in the Windows Movies & TV app? In VLC, you can press g or h to change the subtitle timing by 50ms, is there a way to do this in Windows Movies & TV? The subtitles on my movie are appearing and disappearing a few seconds
too soon, it gets annoying pretty fast.
