    Why does the onedrive backup prompt destroy my desktop shortcuts


    Hi, I recently reinstalled windows 11 home and skipped the "backup pictures and desktop with ondrive" prompt during the setup process. As expected the computer asked me again to do this step a few days later I dont think it should ask this again but I know it will - I said yes just to make the prompt go away and then immediatly told ondrive to NOT backup my desktop or pictures I dont need them backed up, its not needed and is supid as it also causes clutter on the desktop from the other PC's I run. What I dont understand is why this caused ondrive to DELETE all my desktop shortcuts? Sur
