Why does Windows 11 do updates in the background, during active hours that do not show up...

    Advanced options for Active Hours

Hi, I'm Anvar, a Windows Independent Adviser and a fellow Microsoft customer. I'd be glad to help you today

The settings app in Windows 10 has an easy-to-use option to enable and configure active hours. Here’re the steps to follow.

Open the Settings with “Windows Key + I” keyboard shortcut.

Go to the “Update & Security” page.

Select “Windows Update” on the left panel.

Click on the “Change active hours” option on the right panel.

Turn off “Automatically adjust active hours based on activity” option.

Now, click on the “Change” link.

In this window, set both Start time and End time for active hours. The active hours are limited to 18 hours max.

    Click on the “Save” button.

if you are on windows 11, kindly follow below steps

Select Start > Settings > Windows Update > Advanced options > Active hours.

Next to Adjust active hours, select Manually.

Choose the start time and end time for your active hours.

    Hope this helps.
