Windows 10: Why is 6 gigabytes of ram usable instead of 8?

So, Im on windows 10 64-bit and have 8 gigabytes of ram, it tell me 6 gigabytes are available, Why? and can i change that number?

3.46G Usable instead of 6 gb ram

Previously, I have installed 32 bit version of Windows 10 when my ram is 4 gb (1.71gb Usable), after it, I installed 64 bit version of windows but the usable ram is not icreasing. I upgraded the ram to 6gb but the usable ram is 3.46g, I want to increase
the usable RAM size, anyway?

 

16GB RAM only 8GB usable on Windows 10 x64

have 16GB of RAM installed on my computer, but only 8GB is usable. I am running Windows 10 x64. I have tried the following steps to fix this issue, but they have not worked:

1. I have updated the BIOS to the latest version.
   
2. I have tried reseating the RAM modules.
   
3. I have tried using different RAM modules.
   
4. I have tried run-MSConfig
   

I am still not able to use all 16GB of RAM. Any suggestions?

4 gigabytes of RAM, 3.47 usable, now only 2.99!

Hi all,

I recently got a new computer and upgraded to Windows 10. When I got it, it had 3.4 gigabytes of USABLE RAM. But when I went to check it again, a week or so later, it had 2.99 gigabytes. I am sure that I checked in right when I had 3.47 gigabytes.

Any help is appreciated,
