Windows 10: Why is BING and MSN not respoonding to search queries or simply clicking on a news story ?

Hello :

I contacted this site last night and waited almost 1/2 hour with no reply received at all ! I use Bing and Microsoft Edge as my alternate search engines instead of Google. I use Windows 10 as my operating system and run my Windows defender upgrades faithfully. About a month ago, I took my Asus 550 Notebook with a 1TB drive to the Windows Store over in Bellevue, WA. There they updated Windows 10 and installed new drivers and did a full system diagnostics scan. Now every time I attempt to run MSN or Bing, I either get system freeze or lock-up and ejected from the site. There is no evidence of Infection or virus that my system can find ! Do I need to de-install both MSN and Bing and then re-install them ? The Microsoft technician did say that my system was old and needed to be replaced within a year or two. I am currently retired and money is somewhat tight.
