Windows 10: Why is font not displayed in Character Map

Recently upgraded to Win 10. Since then, added new font, Helvetica Neue. It shows in File Explorer, it shows in apps generally (see image) but it doesn't show in Character Map. Why not?

Problem Accessing Private Use Characters from character map in Windows 10

My apologies, it looks like the issue I am having is due to the fonts, not the Character Map. When I purchased this font set, I was told they contained glyphs and ligatures. I have recently purchased a new font and am able to see the ligatures in the
"Private Use Characters" set in the Character Map. Again, my apologies and thank you for your assistance.

 

Characters supported by font and code page not showing in Windows `cmd`

cmd doesn't seem to show certain characters. For example, the star symbol:

I've set the code page to 65001:





And the font is Consolas. I've set the same font for Notepad and pasted the character - it displays with no problems. But when I paste it in cmd:





Why is it not displayed ? How can I fix this ?
