  2. where's the edit menu in file explorer? simple things like copy, paste and undo are now complicated.

I don't think I'm alone in relying on shortcuts because clicking on everything is physically painful. Shortcuts had been a strong advantage of Windows, but they've been deprecated (i.e., limited and much more complicated).

In Windows 7, File Explorer has an Edit menu.

    • To copy a file, you click Alt+E then C.
    • To paste a file, you click Alt+E then P.
    • To undo, you click Alt+E then press enter (it's the first item; I also see that Ctrl-Z is the shortcut).
In Windows 10, File Explorer doesn't have an Edit menu. It has a Home menu, which most programs don't have, so this makes navigation in File Explorer unusual.

    • If you click Alt-E, your browser open to a search for help. (How are you supposed to know that?)
    • To copy a file, you click Alt+H then C then O.
    • To paste a file, you click Alt+H then C then P.
    • To undo... no idea. It's nowhere in the Home menu.
Is there any way to restore the Edit menu in File Explorer? (I looked but can't find anything.) If not, how does one attain the simple shortcut keys that minimize the need to click with a pointing device? If that's not possible, what principles other than
usability are driving UI design at Microsoft?

why is it that all the know it alls try to complicate things when the easyest way is so simple

Is there a Simple way to Change User Account/Name?

I know there are many things that are suggested but I wonder if there is a simple way to do this.
We just got our new Windows 10 Pro laptop yesterday and it was set up with an MS username and junk password. It then created a username in the USER directory and, all programs will want to use it. So, before I install Quicken, I want the data to go into the Proper User directory. I went to accounts and had Windows NOT use the MS sign in but added my wife's name and selected a password. Simple enough...BUT she is NOT in the user directory. Is there any way I can fix this? Someone suggested that I try to create a family member and say that there was no email account but this is starting to sound like a real mess!

Could I just remove her and then add her back from the control panel? Would that then create her name in the USERS directory? I do not want to keep trying stuff and messing up this new system.
