Windows 10: Why is Microsoft still unable to lock my stolen laptop after I try locking it using "Find...

My laptop has been stolen through my studio window. I have headed to my Microsoft Account and to my Devices https://account.microsoft.com/devices and then Find My Device tab for my stolen laptop. The last location is from August 2024. There is, however, also a Lock button there. When clicked, it displays the following message: Log out any active users and disable local users. Administrators with permissions will still have access, but unauthorized access will be blocked. Your device will be locked and location tracking services will be enabled. Sounds just perfect. Lock a stolen laptop by serial number? “Find My” lock is insufficient.

My laptop was stolen. I see the serial in my Microsoft account and last location. Why can’t I lock the device/report the serial number as stolen to prevent it from ever being activated again? I see the serial in my devices which means Microsoft can too. It also won’t let me lock it in case it ever connects to the internet again like a iPhone. Not allowing a user to report a laptop serial number stolen is helping the thieves and the stolen laptop market!! ��

My laptop was stolen and I am unable to lock the device remotely. If I try the "Find my Device" it shows the battery is 0% and I get the following message : We can’t locate this device since it hasn’t been used in the past 30 days.. Then when I try the "Lock" function I get the following message: "We can’t lock your device right now". Please can you assist with problem.

Wants to lock my stolen laptop.

My laptop has been stolen. I am trying to lock it but it ahow the that microsoft will let you know when they lock it. Its being two days its still not locked. And they show no location on map bcz its disabled. Wht should i do now???
