    Why is microsoft updating non-microsoft applications


    I have been noticing lately that I have applications, things like itunes, notepad++, putty, 7zip, etc, that have been updated without my permission or knowledge. When I uninstall and reinstall the older versions and disable updates for them, evening going so far as to remove or disabling their update software, they are updated a few days later. I would also like to add that none of the programs are install through the microsoft store nor do I use that program for anything, just wanted to get that out of the way. As far as I am concern this is a major breach of user privacy and I am getting tri

    Microsoft signals end of Paint program

    Microsoft has confirmed that it will continue to offer its graphics program Paint.

    In a recent update, it had listed Paint as a feature that would be either removed or no longer developed.

    Paint, renowned for its simplicity, has been part of the Windows operating system since its launch in 1985.

    Microsoft suggested it would not remain on Windows 10 by default but did say it would be available for free on the Windows Store.
